Took a walk to a local town park/riverside beach. Noticed some loose gravel on the way, various rocks left in place by the last ice age, but let it all pass.
In a small river tributary there were slabs of rock in the middling high tide. And grit on the roadway close. Tried recording small rock rattling along the big river rocks. Plus the sounds of rock scratching rock, feet in shoes scuffing beach rocks and sand and aforementioned road grit. Too much wind in the mic, and so many quiet transients. Not all that impressed.
Looped and reshift sounds via Grainstorm app on a phone. Messed with but discarded ModSynth sounds that were synth based but more like rock sounds as sought out. Kept the Grainstorm recreations including some synthetic sounding drones made with slow granulated treatment. Eh, go figure.
