insomniaindex A superb album. Paco mixes Ambient elements with field recordings and electronic elements to create music that is both lush and abstract. Rather than being Ambient music backed my field recordings, Paco blends all elements tightly together with even the field recordings very much falling into composed layers or patterns. The melodies are sweet but some of the tracks also have nice saturated sounds or layers of Noise. Very much an album that engages rather than just builds atmospheres. Favorite track: Simulatore metropolitano.

Paco Maddalena, graduated in Art History at Dams in Bologna in 2004, has always been
He is a filmmaker and director of photography in italian film industry, author of films,
involved in cinema and music.
documentaries, short films, commercials and music videos, awarded and recognized in many
Italian and foreign festivals, including the Venice Biennale and the Rome Film Festival.
He has always been a musician: bassist and guitarist of various post-rock bands, including
Frida and Dora Maar, he is also an ambient, electroacoustic and concrete music composer.
Over the years, he has created tracks for various audiovisual installations, soundtracks for
films, readings and theatrical productions, characterizing his productions with the use of field
recordings, tapes, synthesizers and Eurorack modular systems.
He has active publications and audiovisual works for: Laverna.net (IT), Zeugma (IT),
Camembert Électrique (FR), Owlripper Recordings (CZ), Audiovisioni Elettriche (IT), Tempo
Reale (IT).
He lives between Rome and Brindisi.
